Ah Thanksgiving. The fun November holiday nestled between Halloween and Christmas that sometimes seems all but forgotten about. But it is a truly wonderful holiday where we can take the day to spend time with loved ones and reflect on what we are thankful for, and then stuff ourselves full of delicious food!
For some, Thanksgiving is a fancy dinner celebration. For others it may be a more casual time helping bake pies in the kitchen all day. However you celebrate, I have put together 5 outfit inspiration ideas for this turkey-filled occasion ranging from casual to formal (and everything in between).
The main point for this post is for inspiration as I am sure you can re-create similar outfits with pieces you already have hanging in your closet. I find a lot of my clothes on clearance racks, in boutiques, etc so the same exact items may not be easy to come by. But I will link some newer items that may still be in stores if you want to purchase some of these pieces.
1.) Casual, Comfy, yet Cute!
This outfit is perfect for spending the day in the kitchen, watching the Thanksgiving day parade with the fam, and just enjoying this holiday while being both comfy and cute! The brown (faux) suede details add some fall pizazz while the long sleeve shirt is still comfy while not being over the top. Throw on some jeans and you have a fashionable and comfy outfit for a more casual Thanksgiving celebration!
2.) A Happy Heart
This outfit is perfect for the gals who want to wear a skirt but still be super comfy. Something about denim skirts and fall just go together. This particular denim skirt I snagged at the end of the summer at Target for about $6! Unfortunately that is long gone, but here is a similar one for a good deal!

I paired it with this adorable top that I just purchased from Old Navy. Since it is just a long sleeve tee it is still super comfy, but the embroidered heart (near where your actual heart is) is such an adorable detail that I think is perfect for this lovely holiday.

3.) The Goldilocks Outfit
Not too fancy and not too casual. This outfit is just right. I love the autumnal feel the cranberry and grey color combo this outfit gives. These pants are jeggings that have an elastic waist which is a huge plus for turkey day. These pieces are classics that have been living in my wardrobe for a while (so no longer in stores), but this is a super simple, yet chic, outfit to recreate!
4.) Did I Mention I Love Denim Skirts?
Okay this one might be my favorite! A fun 90’s inspired turtle neck (I’m feeling the Rachel Green vibes what ’bout you?) tucked into a dark denim button up skirt is my vision of an adorable Thanksgiving day outfit. Paired with a pair of black booties you have a great combo of looking dressed up while still being super comfy. This turtle neck is also a new purchase from Old Navy and is pretty much the most comfy thing ever.
I purchased the button -up skirt several years ago from Forever 21, but I have seen this style in many different colors and washes everywhere!

5.) Last, But Not Least
The fanciest outfit, yet one of the easiest outfits to throw on. Anything in the cranberry color family just gets me excited for Thanksgiving and reminds me of fall! The lace up detail and fun bell sleeves add some flair to the dress that make it perfect for a more fancy Thanksgiving dinner. I think any simple dress that has a few fun touches, similar to this one, will do the trick in giving off the simple, yet elegant vibe for this Thanksgiving dinner!
Whatever you wear (and I know you’ll look fabulous) I hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving! I am thankful for you fashion babes!
‘Till Next Time,
xoxo
