The third and last destination on my cross country adventure and the last entry in this travel journal trilogy is Boulder, Colorado! Boulder was hands down my favorite stop on this trip and most likely my favorite city I have ever visited! We spent five days in this lovely city and in that time carried out tons of exciting adventures.
We stayed at the St. Julien Hotel and it was absolutely stunning and in walking distances to a lot of major attractions and hikes. Since we spent the most time here I can not journal every little stop we made and every place we ate, but I am going to hit my favorites!
There is a fantastic restaurant right next to the St. Julien called “The Med”. We ate there about three times during our stay and it was fabulous every time! Unfortunately I ate the food too fast to snap a pic so you’ll just have to take my word for it ;).
Our mornings begun with trying out the different adorable coffee shops and bakeries that were nestled in the four block pedestrian shopping area called “Pearl Street Mall”.
I wore this on our first full day of Colorado exploring!
Dress: TJ Maxx $19.99
Shoes: Birkenstock dupes from Kohls $12.99
We spent the first day exploring Pearl Street Mall and all the wonderful businesses that are there! Every Saturday in Boulder they have a huge farmers market that puts any other fresh food market I have ever been to to shame! Conveniently the Saturday that we were they there was also an arts festival going on in addition to the farmers market! There was tons of entertainment including these quite amusing live statues!
We loved exploring this spunky city and finding these murals around the farmer’s market grounds!
This day was pretty hot so I went with a cooler outfit!
Layered necklace: Forever 21 $8
Tank top: TJ Maxx $7.99
Lace Shorts: TJ Maxx $14.99
Purse: TJ Maxx (Steve Madden) $19.99
Sunglasses: Five below $5
If you are even the slightest fan of tea then you have probably heard of Celestial Seasonings tea company! All their tea that is distributed all over the world is processed right here in Boulder, Colorado! They offer free daily tours of their factory and allow you to sample as many teas as you wish! It is similar to the World of Coke(but even better, because it is with tea instead of soda 😉 ). It was a blast sampling tea and learning all about the company’s history!
Lace T-shirt: TJ Maxx $12.99
Shorts: Kohls $15ish
Shoes: Target: $8ish
White Cami: Forever 21 $1.99
Our last daywas filled with a lot of outdoor adventures! You can not visit Colorado and not go hiking right? We hiked this beautiful mountain in the flatirons. Then we visited Red Rocks Amphitheater! This outdoor music venue is made entirely out of natural red rock! It is truly breathtaking and the natural acoustics are incredible. I could talk for hours about thee beauty of both of Colorado Mountains and Red Rocks Amphitheater, but I’ll let the pictures do the talking (although they do not do it justice)!
Truly some of my best memories live in the wonderful state of Colorado and I hope I can one day return! Thanks for walking down memory lane with me as I recall the wonderful adventures I had road tripping across this great country!
‘Till Next Time
xoxo,
Carly
