5 Ways to De-Stress and Pamper

College is stressful. Work is stressful. Life is stressful. Sometimes ya just need to take a step back and pamper yourself! But “treating yo-self” can be expensive so here is my list of my favorite ways of pampering yourself without causing too much damage to your piggy bank.

1.) Impress Nails. ($5-$7)

This is my favorite way to give myself an instant confidence boost and I swear by these nails. Much cheaper than going to the nail and salon and they last a solid week (and that’s with working in retail). Highly recommend!

You can buy them online, but it is much cheaper at your local Walmart or Walgreens.

2.) Have a “Spa Night”

Light those candles. Fill up that tub. Put on that Face Mask. Turn your phone to ‘do not disturb’ and just breathe. Just taking a few minutes to just think about and focus on yourself is extremely healthy and refreshing.

(Target has candles in their dollar section for $3 and the brand Que Bella makes great face masks for only $2!)

3.) Facetime your bestie.

This is absolutely free, but absolutely priceless. Sometimes after a stressful week laughing with your friend who is always there for you is all you need.

4.) Plan Everything!!

I know planning school and work doesn’t exactly sound “relaxing, but taking a few minutes and mapping out everything you need to do and when you will do them eases your mind knowing that you have a plan. Also I suggest doing this with fun markers and decorations to make it more fun and creative.

“Bullet journaling” is also a fun way to get organized. I am not the most artistically gifted, so I’m still getting the hang of it, but it is still tons of fun and relaxing!

5.) Buy your favorite splurge treat

Rather that’s a Starbucks frappe with extra drizzle or that deliciously creamy bowl of pasta from that cute little Italian place or that decadent chocolate cupcake from the bakery across the street -it is ok to spend a little extra on something yummy every once in a while.

Not that it is good for you (health wise or financially) to indulge in these goodies on a daily basis, but treating yourself to these treats once in a great while is totally fine and frankly sometimes you just deserve it 😉

My latest yummy obsession: bubble tea

Don’t be afraid to treat yo-self fashion babes!
